Biography
Brendan Austin is a photographer and filmmaker who over the past 20 years has explored the relationship between human industry and the environment.
Over the course of his career, Austin has pointed his camera toward the industrial landscapes of Europe including aerial work over oil refineries, 300 meters underground in iron ore mines and a nuclear submarine base in Crimea. He is now embedded with a renewable energy company that is at the forefront of developing a method to harness energy from the ocean.
Austin is based in Stockholm, Sweden where he balances his time between his artistic practice and commercial projects.
